Come tiger!

On the Blue Train 6 weeks ago, we met Nico and Natasha Steyn and bonded quickly with them once we learned their son, Zack, was going to Los Barilles and Rancho Leonero to quarantine for two weeks before flying on to New York to work in their business!
There’s that small, small world again!
Zack was in search of a rooster fish, he and his family all die hard fly fishermen...
so Nev happily got on the phone and hooked him up with our friends and our ATV.
We received an email a few days later notifying us that British Airways had delayed our flight home by two days;
we decided to take Nico up on his generous offer to fill in our extra two days:
he was able to get us accommodation at Ichingo Chobe River Lodge on the Namibia side of the Chobe River.
His brother-in-law, Mieles, is the humble "big wig" here and the nicest and funniest of people who welcomed us warmly after our sad goodbyes at Kwetsani Lodge and our flight from Kwetsani to Kasane where we were met and transported to and over the river after clearing immigration.
This lodge sits right on the river bank and is all about the fishing...
tiger fish, a game fish not commonly eaten because it's too boney, which Nev has never caught before.
He was beyond excited to have a fishing rod in his hand again and went out in the afternoon with his guide, Success;
unfortunately they had no success landing one though they did have a few hits!
We were spoiled to a wonderful braai on the river bank: filet mignon, lamb chops, boerewors, the works,
and I left Nev happily chatting to our fellow guests, the fishing stories getting bigger and longer with each beer enjoyed!!
I'm the only lady in the camp
so I happily retired to our cozy tent with a glass of wine and my book for company...
hoping he'll have success tomorrow morning.
Thanks Nico
Thanks Mieles
This is a most unexpected treat for sure!
