On the road again.

Nev and I have been on the road for the past three days en route to Dillon and Julie's wedding.
Such a beautiful drive from Oxnard, CA to Buena Vista, CO, via Jerome, AZ, where we spent our first night and Durango, CO, our second.
The scenery was beautiful and so varied all along the way as we passed thro desert and high desert and wound our way over mountains and thro beautiful Sedona and it's surroundings. My feet itched to hike one of the hundreds of gorgeous trails we saw but time did not permit...
Jerome is a quaint old copper mining town on top of a mountain in Arizona, now reclaimed by artists and entrepreneurs, boasting cute boutiques and restaurants, and many ghost stories. Our hotel was old and creaky and our dinner at the Haunted Hamburger joint was interesting!
Durango in Colorado is an old mining town most known for its historic narrow gauge train that winds thro the massive mountains that shadow the city, and for the ski slopes close by. The historic Strater Hotel was delightful as was our walk around the town and our yummy dinner.
And now we have arrived in beautiful Buena Vista, CO, a small town nestled on the banks of the Arkansas River, surrounded by snow capped mountains which make an awesome backdrop for a wedding.
We are at 8000ft elevation so we're taking some adjusting to the thin air here...
The weather is beautiful and the trails are calling so I must go!
