Plan B, or was it C
10 June 2022 | 625 miles to go, but not in a straight line!

Having motored overnight the filter blocked after only 11 hours. So I rigged up a system that took fuel direct from s can and let the return into a different can. This meant monitoring 2 fuel cans so we didnt run out and so we didnt let the return fill up and overflow.
What is known as a right pain. Our weather guru has advised we head east of 40W and north of 35N by dawn Saturday. This way we will catch some wind that should enable us to sail the rest of the way. Lets hope so as changing fuel cans every 2 hours is becoming wearing.
Other than that it has been a fine day with a couple of ships around, one we had to call as he was going to be close, and at the time I was refitting fuel pipes etc. Once up and running we were motor sailing with wind mainly 6-7knots although tonight it has dropped right off so we just have
the main up while motoring away. Again no marine life except one tropic bird and the little jellyfish which my expert school pal tells me is not a Portuguese man o war but a sailing jellyfish, not too harmful to humans but still no swimming for us.
This looks like a 23 day passage and we now look forward to our arrival.
