This afternoon we spotted another sailboat. He is a single handler, three weeks out of the Galapagos and appeared over the horizon this afternoon. He's on a slightly different course to LWC and passed across our stern a mile or two back. We chatted on the radio and promised to keep an eye out for for him after dark, but as we are traveling slightly faster I guess he will slip below the horizon behind us before too long. We finished the last of our lettuce today which have lasted for over two weeks in the fridge. Still a few fresh things left and we should be in by Tuesday/Wednesday so the hard tac and salted beef can remain in the bilge! No luck with the fishing today, but the motion has been much improved as we slide along under gennaker and poled out genoa with the mizzen set amidships to dampen the roll. The full moon is making for beautiful night sailing. A big happy birthday to our Grandson Eden, back in New Zealand, who turned 7 today!!
