We have a nice pea soup this morning!

our run down the river with the tide overnight was without incident, but somehow it was even more disconcerting to run in zero visibility in confined familiar waters than on the open ocean. I am just not used to having no visual bearings on the river, and staring down at the compass felt dangerous while running among moored barges and occasional driftwood. Couldn’t even see the Manhattan skyscrapers from Hoboken.

We are anchored awaiting clearing viz and the ebb tide. Open ocean soon!
