On the move

Gary - Rainy and grey (But warm with palm trees)
After staying one more night at the Masonboro Marina we decided to push on even though the weather wasn't very nice. The wind was in our favour at least.
We had a lull in the wind and we quickly decided to up and leave. If only to get a little further down the line for the night.
When we got to Carolina Beach a look at the tides showed us that even with the poor weather we were in favour to continue down the Cape Fear river (Which would be nasty on the next day due to SE winds) so we then kept going again. The tide in our favour was nice to have and whe shot into Southport very quickly and found a really nice marina on the other side of some construction works that would hamper us in the morning.
St. James marina is a gated community with its own marina and bar. Sounds good to me! Heather and I left Arleigh responsible on the boat (We were only a few steps away with a radio) and went and had our first night out since leaving. Even if it was only for an hour it was a nice break. 42ft sounds like a lot but can sometimes get small after a few days of poor weather.
Early start in the morning. We are hoping to get to Georgetown to be able to hop out to Charleston.
Random Picture time. We are seeing Geckos!!
