After an early start to the day we picked up a fair wind and headed for Allen's Cay. Unfortunately there was a front coming and we needed to get to Nassau before that happened to ensure Bud could get home.

It was a great sailing day again and we made very good time even passing a number of boats along the way. They were reefed for some reason;> We fairly flew along. As we were passing Norman's Cay I e-mailed Kate and James our friends from Port Washington on Nomad who are making their way with an Endeavour 42. They have left their boat gremlins behind in the US and are now enjoying the good life! Well I got an e-mail back that they were in fact in Highbourne Cay which was only 5 miles away. We quickly diverted to meet up.

On arrival we said hi then proceeded to the beach with the boys to run off some steam. Then we went spear fishing with the sling around some of the coral. Had some big Barracuda stalking us. The boys got spooked and left Bud and I to the fishes. Unfortunately we didn't have any luck. Seems with all the cruisers going through the lobster are pretty scarce. The barracuda didn't help with the fish either.

That evening we had a small potluck with the Nomads and had a great catch up chat. With a late night from the night before and a long day of Sailing Bud and I were having a very difficult time staying up past 9 so called it an early night.
