On Friday we found out that our part that was due to arrive was not the right part and it would be Monday before the part came. Knowing that it was going to be a long weekend with not much to do I decided to try and get the boys in the local sailing school.

They were happy to let them in. They did really well considering they haven't been in a dingy sailor since 2014!! They joined the experienced class and kept up well. They even got off the start line in their first race ahead of everyone!

After that we headed back for lunch. The boys were all smiles. In the morning I had seen some of the Bahamas sloops heading out and was told there would be a race. I took the dingy over to investigate and was asked to bring someone in from one of the sloops at anchor. When we arrived at the beach a guy ran up and said "You are racing today right?" Of course I said why not and was promptly given a "Thunderbird" T-shirt and told to get on the boat. Heather and the boys were our chase boat for a bit taking some great shots.

It was tough work sitting out on the Plank considering they were well painted and about 8 feet out from the sides of the boat. We were ahead in the first race when once guy fell off the plank and we started to sink. Luckily we righted but it took about 20 minutes to pump out the boat. We finished but dead last.
The second race we came 4th out of 10 or so boats so that was respectable. I am covered with bruises and suspect a broken toe but am game to go back again today!
