Season's Greetings!
Wow! It was December 7, 2007: When we cut the dock lines and sailed through the Delta tulle fog to start our "Dreams into Reality" journey, it's been an adventure of a life time. The only thing missing is time spent with friends and family like you. Thank you for all your comments on our Blog, phone calls, notes & our cherished get together. We treasure your friendship & wish you all a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year, and we look forward to your next communications with us weather it's by e-mail, snail mail Ham, VHF radio or phone, stay in touch please we miss you. This last cruising season was different early on we hauled Magic Carpet and gave her a complete" make over" in the form of new non-skid top sides, new bottom paint, new life lines and lots of TLC using lots of wax & polish. Magic Carpet looks brand new! It was perfect timing because we were not sailing south this season. Early spring we were flying to Africa. Our safari was unbelievable, actually being in the Serengeti watching the residence wonder freely hunting, fishing, and relaxing watching the balance of nature was an in creditable experience we were guest in their home, and we slept in glorified tents guarded by Masi carrying spears. Hearing Lyons breathing at our canvas door & Hyenas moaning as they sniffed around, we were glad we were comfortable with the VHF radios we used to call to make sure the Masi know someone was checking us out. The African National Parks were so beautiful and so big with new discovery's waiting for us everywhere. We were out in the bush from sun up till sun down. We found the magnificent Seven, 3500 pictures latter we returned to Magic Carpet and sailed the Sea of Cortez for the remainder of the 2018 cruising season. We found climate change was having an effect on the sea it was cooler, tides were greater & unpredictable, wind had a mind of its Own, challenging our skills. This last season in the land of plenty was challenging also. The Car & Camp fires creating poor air quality and the loss of friends' homes. We thank God they were able to escape. These devastating fires, Changing trends have made us realize how very important our friends and family are to us.
We wish you a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
We wish you good Health & Happiness
We wish to hear from all of you
