Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, first time on Makaan. The weeks leading up to it surely were very different than those in the past and the new surroundings make it a little difficult to get into the Christmas spirit. But looking out on the water gives us time to reflect on the year that has passed and to look forward to the year to come. We are grateful that we were able to go on this amazing adventure and hope that we can continue our journey for quite some time.
We thank each and every one of you for virtually traveling with us and for all of your encouraging comments. It makes us feel connected and that there is still room for us in your lives. When we read a post, we can see your faces in front of us and think of the hours we spent together.
We also thank all the wonderful people we met on our way, who lend a helping hand, invited us into their homes and brightened our days.

Gifts come and go, but what really matters are the people who light up our lives all year long. And you did just that, so thank you very much. May this Christmas be full of light and laughter and your lives filled with warmth and good cheer this holiday season and throughout the NewYear.

Fröliche Weihnachten und ein glückliches Neues Jahr!

Morgen ist Weihnachten, unser erstes Mal auf Makaan. Diese Adventszeit war völlig anders als in der Vergangenheit und die neue Umgebung macht es nicht gerade leicht, in Weihnachtsstimmung zu kommen. Aber der Blick auf das Wasser gibt uns Zeit, über das vergangene Jahr nachzudenken und uns auf das kommende Jahr zu freuen. Wir sind dankbar, dass wir uns auf dieses wunderbare Abenteuer begeben konnten, und hoffen, dass wir unsere Reise noch eine ganze Weile fortsetzen können.

Wir danken euch allen, dass ihr uns virtuell begleitet habt und für all eure ermutigenden Kommentare. Es gibt uns das Gefühl, verbunden zu sein und zu wissen, dass in eurem Leben noch Platz für uns ist. Wenn wir einen Beitrag lesen, sehen wir eure Gesichter vor uns und denken an die Stunden, die wir zusammen verbracht haben.
Wir danken auch all den wunderbaren Menschen, die wir auf auf unserer Reise getroffen haben für ihre Hilfsbereitschaft, ihre Grosszügigkeit und Herzlichkeit.

Geschenke kommen und gehen, aber was wirklich zählt, sind die Menschen, die unser Leben das ganze Jahr über erhellen. Und genau das habt ihr getan, also vielen, vielen Dank. Wir wünschen euch besinnliche, frohe und glückliche Weihnachtstage und für das kommende Jahr, dass euch Zufriedenheit, Frohsinn, Gesundheit und Liebe ein ständiger Begleiter sein werden.
