Wow, what a summer, record rainfall for Camden for the summer. June & July brought about very few sunny days with rain and clouds dominating the weather while we battled with mold inside Makana due to us never being able to dry things out. August was the polar opposite and were were able to do a few trips around Penobscott Bay with memorable nights spent in Pulpit Harbor on the island of North Haven. We also hunkered down for two close calls with hurricanes Bill and Danny which thankfully passed to the south. We'll unhook from our mooring in Camden for one last time and head from Maine this week to Georgetown Maryland to store Makana for six weeks while we visit family and spend two weeks camping in Hoku's favorite destination, Walt Disney World.
