Food from the Sea

08 January 2013 | George Town, Exumas, Bahamas
Rick
We arrived several days ago in George Town. We had a nice two day motor-sail down from Black Point. On the first day we caught 2 Mahi Mahi, lost one and on the second day we caught another and lost another, so we were 3 for 5 on the trip resulting in a freezer full of fish even after feeding several other boats and having Mahi for every meal since catching.
On the first day here I went spear fishing with some friends and happen to come across on of the largest lobsters yet. It took some work in pulling a 5-6 pound lobster out of its hole and into the dingy, luckly I had help. We'll be in George Town for at least a weeks as the wind is quite strong with the forecast for it to increase! Hoku is having a blast as there are several boats with her friends here, its amazing how quickly she'll finish school when peer pressure is the motivation.
