Maine's historical fleet of windjammers filled the harbor over the weekend for the annual Windjammer Festival celebrating Maine's maritime heritage. These schooners which were built and used for carrying cargo over a hundred years ago and until the arrival of the steamship now carry passengers on weeklong sailing trips recreating the old days of sailing. The festival events included fireworks, concerts, lobster crate races, and our favorite, the annual chowder challenge!
