Change of "plans"

We spent 3 days at Emerald Bay Marina tied up to a dock, the first of which since Thanksgiving. Our friends from Colorado returned home and we did tons of laundry as the laundry is free with the slip fee. On Sunday we departed early and sailed down to Hog Cay cut with Whistling Cay. Once thru we rafted up with them and Mirage spending the night together. The kids on all 3 boats had a blast playing on the 50 foot wide “playground” complete with a nice coral reef off the bow providing the dinner, 2 nice size Nassau Grouper. The following morning we motored together while remaining rafted 6 miles along the southern side of Great Exuma island. The water was amazing and only 6 feet deep as far as you could see. We had good luck spear fishing over the two days; lobster, grouper, snapper and crabs.
Yesterday instead of heading down to the Ragged Islands we returned to George Town, actually Red Shanks, as the weather forecast is not “favorable” with a front coming with squalls to 40+ knots predicted. Katie and the two mom’s from the other boats took an 8 mile “short cut” on paddle board’s thru the mangroves while the dad’s and kid’s motor sailed the boats thru Hog Cay cut and around the island.
