Still enjoying settled weather we progressed to Majorca. Having been anchored out since mainland Spain we thought to take a night in a marina for water and stores however the fee turned out to be 96Euros for a night - twice the cost of an expensive Marina elsewhere! Sobered by that prospect we anchored for another few days at Santa Ponsa and instead filled up with water in a coin operated marine service station.
David and Liz on Lazy Tern had been in touch and we agreed to meet on Cabrera, an Island just South of Majorca, for David's birthday prior to taking part in the Oyster Regatta.
Despite a couple of dull days and some short lived downpours Cabrera didn't disappoint; nature reserve island, magic wee castle and lovely walks, hospitable bar and nothing else but history surrounding you as you lie moored in the most perfect anchorage. Simply wonderful, great to share it with friends. Lazy Tern the Oyster 46 we are to do the regatta on is pictured anchored below the castle with Malibu to the left.
