Here we are at the end of 2009. The wheel of the year has taken another spin. We have traveled a long way and feel proud of our achievements aboard our very able little boat. We have learned things about ourselves and about each other. We have become more aware about the countries we have visited and conscious of the lives of people in them.

Wishing for "Peace on Earth and Goodwill towards men" sounds rather vague and improbable somehow. So, our wish is that in the coming year you will experience moments of gentle peace in your heart; that you will know the contentment of being loved by other people; that you can forgive one other person for their shortcomings; and that you may feel thankful not only for the good things, but also for the lessons you learn overcoming the bad.
As the light returns to the earth, may your heart be glad and full of hope.
