Well let's hear it for Kate Prickett: us convent girls really know our way around Google. Kate and I went to school together many moons
ago and she is also a sailing woman nowadays.
Her answer of King Ix of Colima was right and she will be getting her prize in the mail as soon as I find a ship going north.
King Ix entertained Chinese traders at the mouth of the Rio Salagua on Manzanillo's North shore. The beach is now called "La Audencia" because an envoy of Hernan Cortez met with another a local chieftan, after hearing the legend of King Ix and his hospitality, to secure a suitable place to build Cortez's Spanish galleons.
