Getting ready to load up and head to the ocean

13 November 2016 | Our Shop
After 6 months of acquiring the boat bling for Mangata, we are ready to load up the goods and begin the drive to Mazatlan and our winter home. Taking our time to drive down, visiting friends along the way, stopping to check out San Carlos in Sonora, and trying to beat the weather change. Seems it takes a lot of energy and fussing to get your life and boat stuff in order to leave for 6 months. I am emotionally ready to go, but there are a couple items that need to be done before we depart on Wednesday.

Hoping the prepping, planning, obsessing over details along with the nearly continuous package deliveries will make the adventure go smoothly and more enjoyable. I seem to have some anxiety over the Border crossing, Aduana, TIPs and auto permits, but I found a pretty cool recent post (2104) that has a nice play by play.

Hopefully it will be accurate. One concern is the last leg from San Carlos to Mazatlan in one day, seems almost 500 miles in Mexico might be a push. Wish us luck. Ready to go.
