Short post to say after rounding Cape Melville this morning, Im anchored behind an island called Stanley Island. Pleasant for a change....wind is not howling and there are three other boats! Im now about 200 miles from the top of Australia and that means about 4-5 more anchored nights and then... the Indian Ocean. But... Australia may not be through with me quite so fast...I hear there is another one of those dashed highs on the southern shores which means, most probably, another 'strong wind warning' for these northern parts. May have to tuck in behind some island and wait it out.
