THE OTHER SIDE 2

Well, the 'other side' got the best of me, I retreated. I 'battened down the hatches' and here I am, one day later. Winds are still up and waves are looking as nasty as ever on that 'other side' but for the time being, Im delighting in one more day of gifts to the senses in this little haven in the middle of the Indian Ocean.

The lent computer never materialized, as of today.

Tomorrow, I HAVE to go or the Australian Customs will make the trip very easy aboard one of their 'war' ships, back to Christmas Island and its famed detention center .Or so they threaten!

Im getting mixed reports from boats ahead of me . Everything from 'hey its nice out here' to 'its bloody uncomfortable', to 'squalls reaching 45 knots' so I will just have to see for myself.

Boat is ready, weights are redistributed, protections on the windward side, engines tuned, water made, food for weeks and bottom's clean!

Tomorrow I meet the 'other side'.

Vessel Name: Shearwater
Vessel Make/Model: CONSER 47 Racer/Cruiser Catamaran
Hailing Port: West Palm Beach Florida
Crew: MANGO AND ME
About:
Mango is a smart, funny, sensitive and totally unique wheaton/sheepdog. . He is my partner on this patently undoglike voyage but remains cheerful about the whole affair. [...]
Extra: Shearwater is a 47 foot, very sleek and light catamaran. She is part of a fleet of 11 that were built - its a sister ship of Shearwater that holds the unofficial speed record. 31 knots! Of the this fleet, only one has flipped...so we are on the side of good odds!
