I WAS GOING TO GO.....

I was going to go tomorrow, Saturday, October 28th but something has changed on the weather front.
The departure was predicated on two probabilities; that there would be wind to get me to Madagascar, that is still in force; that there would NOT be strong headwinds from the SW upon reaching Madagascar, that has changed and it now looks like 'strong headwinds from the SW' and this just as I would be reaching the crucial area.
So, 'no go' and I look for the next window.
You might find the following interesting. A boat that was tied up in front of me here in Mauritius reported very weird conditions at the tip of Madagascar last night:
'I was totally buffuzled, the boat was headed in one direction as per the compass but the course as per GPS said I was going in the opposite. I thought I had lost the rudders. I was going in circles. I brought all sail down and with full engines couldnt get out of this whirlpool. Seemed to be a current of 4 knots. It was pitch black and lasted over an hour....I still dont know what happened'.
Hmmm....maybe I should turn east!
