"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." Mark Twain

This picture is what started it all. Our 12 year son Edison. Edison selected "Sailing" as a extra cirricular course at school this year. His grandfather restored the little boat (a Snark) he is zipping around the lake with.

Edison taught himself the mechanics of sailing, and after a few outings on the lake, he was tacking with more zig zags than a mexican blanket.

His father, Jamie - also picked up a little boat to follow along behind Edison. Needless to say, his father is more like....umm...snapped the tiller, mainsail got stuck halfway up the mast, capsized the thing.. well let us just leave it there shall we, and carry on.

We are a close bunch and have a zest for living life to the fullest! We are a down to earth family who try to see the good in all things. We love the outdoors, camping, hiking, travel and just so much more!

And most important, we love adventure!

These boys have more stamps in their passports, than there are fruit loops in a full box of cereal !!!!

During a recent trip to Panama CB, we could see sailboats in the distance. Watching a huge clipper with what appeared to be 3 masts and surrounded by many smaller jibs sail over the horizon. It's magestic sillouette embedding a romantic visual in my mind.

It has been a goal of mine, to get to "The Dry Tortugas" a little island atoll 70 miles off the tip of Key West. Havana is so close you can smell the cigar smoke on a windy day, and hear the barkeep mushing the mint for your mojito!!

It was the end of a long day. Tourists had long shutted down their beach umbrellas and made hasty retreats to the resort cocktail lounges. I was waiting for the ever elusive green flash that can only be seen at the very moment the sun dips below the horizon at sunset. Leaning back in my rusty ole deck chair, gazing across the Gulf of Mexico.. My toes were digging little holes in the sand, and I was sucking on my quart sized Whiskey and Coke out of a Pineapple Willy's Supersize sippy cup.... when a QUEST for ADVENTURE was born.

Lets buy a SAILBOAT !!!!
