In May 2014 Carolyn and I bought "Manketti" a Hylas 49 She was in Carrickfergus, a large town in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is located on the north shore of Belfast Lough, 11 miles from Belfast.
She had been sitting there not used for 4 years and on a wet and slightly windy day we slipped her mornings and headed back to southampton, to say that the Irish sea and the Celtic sea would not be out first choice of a shake down sailing grounds, would be an understatement, but if your going to find out what does and what does not work this is surly the place!
We stopped in Dartmouth for 10hrs to pick up her new Rubberdub and clean out the now fully cloged up fuel filters and then completed out journey back to the Hamble.
