Lots done this year, I decided to start look at the power , we have a great system which starts with 3 x 210Ah Lifeline batteries these are kept full using several methods, the boat has a 4Kw Diesel generator which come on automatically when the % remaining drops below 55% but hopefully before we get to that point the Solar power has done its best! and that is what we have been upgrading over the winter, we have replaced the old charge controller with a new Morning Star MPPT60 which made such an enormous difference, we also upgraded the Cables to match we can with our two 130w solar panels leave the fridge on when we go home and be sure of very limited % loss, in fact several times we have come back and found more than when we had left. so the next job will be to test the Alternator and wind vane hopefully with all these put together we will not have to turn the generator on much.
