Race start.

I put this here because I always love the moments before a classic race. You pass within feet of these elegant craft, each the recipient of many days of tedious attention (and of course the bottomless money pit), and to see them all lifting up their skirts to fly across the start line gives a great thrill. On this occasion we were not racing but crossing in the opposite direction outside the start line.
