Cherbourg

Well she got here after an eventful passage and I arrived to find the crew in good fettle. We dressed her up in bunting for the rather feeble boat show they've got going here, including the flag from the Musee Maritime de La Rochelle, obtaining which has been the grail of my sailing the last 6 years, and I finally managed to blag when arriving there on Rubicon for the Plymouth La Rochelle race last autumn.
Her varnish is pristine and boat systems reasonably not too baddish, so we're aiming to leave tomorrow for St. Peter Port with a forecast of light SWlies but rough seas in the Alderney race with wind against tide.
