Hoedic island

Hoedic island

The day before the Regatta starts is a free day, and we decided to sail out to an island 10 miles off the coast. We anchored in crystal clear water with Dorothy, the 1894 Thames rater, rafted alongside. Picnic lunch, dinghy ashore, lovely walk round the headland to the anchorage on the south side, with spring flowers and cuckoos. Perfect sailing day. You have to really enjoy the perfect days as ompensation for the horrible ones.
