We've been completely ignoring the racing that is supposed to occupy our flotilla during the day. They race out into the Baie de Quiberon with the tide in the morning, and race back again in the afternoon with the tide. But as far as we can discover, they never post the results, so the committee boat, the start line, the finish line etc are all for nothing. This is surprising as the local classics, boats like Stiren and Chrisando are serious racers, and wouldn't bother to race for no results. Maybe we haven't been paying attention.
The pic is of La Récouvrance, a replica topsail schooner, which would have been used to send dispatches to and from the fleet. She is the queen of this coast, and no regatta here is complete without her.
