Heading South
31 October 2010 | Mile Hammock
Sunny, 69 deg, wind SW 15 Gust 30
We left North West Creek Marina Saturday at noon. Headed for Cedar Creek at the top of Adams Creek in the ICW. It felt great to finally get going even though it was a short 20 mile day.
Dave and Beth on Grateful Attitudes left as well. They are great company and as this is there 9th season in the Bahamas they are well known. It's like traveling with rock stars. We had a 60 mile run today down to Mile Hammock which is part of Camp LeJeune. The marines do maneuvers in the area regularly and it can make for an exciting night with landing craft and helicopters right over the boat. Tomorrow we head for Carolina Beach and check weather for an offshore run to Fernandina Beach Fl.
Let's hope.
