This is our first blog post. We are frantically preparing for our trip--exhausted because we're working, moving out, and getting the boat ready all at the same time. This makes everything take three times as long as it should, and leaves us traumatized.

Sarka's sewing a sun shade and I should be going through my files. Last weekend we gave 400 books to the library. I should be selling things on eBay and Craigslist, but I'm daunted.

We move onto the boat by August 31st, and plan to leave at 10am Wednesday, September 25th.

Our to-do list gets longer at about the same rate it gets shorter, but at least things are getting cheaper.

This too shall pass, and soon we'll be off.
