After loads of work done on Marita over the winter, although not as much as intended, the Spring has arrived and it is time to get out on the water again. The air temperature is still cold and the water even more so, although if you could get out of the little wind there was and stay out of the shadows there was some warmth in the sun. We set off having had the idea of sailing to Tau but the lack of wind put paid to that. After getting out of the harbour we motor-sailed past Vassøy and then turned off the engine and drifted along at a knot or so. We were pleasantly surprised to see loads of porpoise not far from the boat.
After tacking slowly to the north we passed Litla Lindoey – the water was so clear we could see the bottom at 16m. We then ran down the east side of Langøy before heading for home.
