Fantastic evening sail. Started off with short tacking up the east side of Hundvåg, across to Amøy then along the fjord to Bru before running for home. Hit a top speed of 7 knots at one point! Autohelm ok at maintaining a set course once it is settled but not good at making major course changes eg tacking. Must look at settings to see if I can optimise this. Tried calibrating the log, which is now working, against the plotter but it doesn’t seem to maintain a match across a range of speeds.

Galley stove doesn’t gimble well either – hose seems to restrict movement; need to look at that. Didn’t help that although I thought I had pans in the boat it turned out I only had a frying pan – not good for cooking spaghetti whilst sailing along!
