Holding the Line Wins the Race
BayFest La Paz, a weekend celebration & local charity fund raiser kicked off Thursday morning, April 7 with a sailboat race. KIEVIT crossed the starting line, second out of 20, mas o menos, boats and crossed the finish line SCREAMIN' after a four and half hour fun and exciting sail. What a ship this KIEVIT is – she was built to fly with the wind and it’s great to be on the ride!
We won first place after the racing committee calculated the various components of the racing score. This is the first official race with KIEVIT – it’s great to have such a worthy sailor for our home.

What a house – all handcrafted out of native woods, cut on the property where the house stands, to minimize its footprint. From the water and the hillsides, only the blue roof is visible. Simply unique and lovely, an impressive work of art.
