At Thanksgiving, my pardner and I landed a job escortin' a group of the fairer sex down the Santa Fe trail. We thought we was plumb lucky to get the work, 'cept that on the last night of the job, my pardner agreed to play cards with the little lady who was tendin' bar. You see that'n standin' right there in the middle of the group. Anyway, somehow he managed to lose all the money we was supposed to get paid, plus all the money we had earned from another job. We was dead broke, but they sure was nice ladies.

What a house – all handcrafted out of native woods, cut on the property where the house stands, to minimize its footprint. From the water and the hillsides, only the blue roof is visible. Simply unique and lovely, an impressive work of art.
