KIEVIT FRIES

Kievit left Pt. Mita, Bandaras Bay at 08:00 hr. Motersailed about 6hr then great sailing the last 2-1/2 hr to Mantanchen Bay at the south side of San Blas. No problem with the engine overheating, though there is something not quite right with the cooling system. Noticed that the packing nut on drive shaft need tightening. The anchorage is quiet but rolling form western swell. Stars are bright and beautiful. Only one other boat here. Tomorrow we will check out a special birding tour on the lagoon here.

TREE HOUSE OF DREAMS, NICOYA PENNINSULA, COSTA RICA, MARCH 2015

What a house – all handcrafted out of native woods, cut on the property where the house stands, to minimize its footprint. From the water and the hillsides, only the blue roof is visible. Simply unique and lovely, an impressive work of art.
