Too Much Fun

We have been having too much fun. We’ve always told our kids, “Have fun, but not TOO much fun.” I am afraid we have broken the rule. There has been no blog post since we left Zihuatanejo.
Kari Burr, our amigo from Stockton, flew into Zihuatanejo to join the Kievit crew on Feb. 23rd and would be with us until March 9th. Our plan was to sail down the Mexican Coast to Huatulco where Kari would fly back to CA. The distance from Zihuatanejo to Huatulco is about 350 NM, so it was to be a good sailing adventure. We planned to sail, explore, fish, snorkel, swim in the ocean, watch sunsets and sunrises, see the stars at night, eat well, experience local Mexican culture, meet old friends, and make new friends long the way. I am pleased to say that all of the above were accomplished.
We'll try to post photos from past weeks before we sail on for more adventure.

What a house – all handcrafted out of native woods, cut on the property where the house stands, to minimize its footprint. From the water and the hillsides, only the blue roof is visible. Simply unique and lovely, an impressive work of art.
