Palapa Living suits this Climate
There was a second panga trip to a seafood palapa restaurant that sits on wood stilts in the middle of the estuary. We took a dinghy ride to the market in a small fishing village about 5 mi into the estuary. The village, La Herradura, is very authentic, rather poor, and Marj and I were the only Gringos in sight the whole morning. People are friendly and kind. Marj’s Spanish is minimal and Dave’s is non-existent. However, we do survive.
