KIEVIT FRIES

On our last day at CCFC, Rob loaded us all in his 4-wheel drive pickup and drove us to a health-education center in Coban. We toured the family planning and women's health NGO, ALAS or Wings, at the headquarters in Coban. It was interesting to meet the educators and health care providers who all speak Q'eqchi as well as Spanish, as they introduced us to the programs they provide to the remote villages in the area.

TREE HOUSE OF DREAMS, NICOYA PENNINSULA, COSTA RICA, MARCH 2015

What a house – all handcrafted out of native woods, cut on the property where the house stands, to minimize its footprint. From the water and the hillsides, only the blue roof is visible. Simply unique and lovely, an impressive work of art.
