KIEVIT FRIES

Mario again picked us up and transported us back to Guatemala City, where we met up with Pam and Paul from s/v TugTub and their friends Jenna and Kirk. We all rode a charted coaster bus (large, no frills, van) to the Community Cloud Forest Conservancy cloudforestconservation.org , run by Pam's friends Rob and Tara Cahill. It is located near the city of Coban. We were met part way up, in El Rancho, by the Cahill's 17 year old son John, where we had lunch. John had the bus stop at a little known Mayan ruin where we had a short hike and viewing of the ruins.

TREE HOUSE OF DREAMS, NICOYA PENNINSULA, COSTA RICA, MARCH 2015

What a house – all handcrafted out of native woods, cut on the property where the house stands, to minimize its footprint. From the water and the hillsides, only the blue roof is visible. Simply unique and lovely, an impressive work of art.
