COASTING COST RICA

Big Surf and Party Boat
So, we enjoyed the morning at Brasilito and sailed only 10 n.m. south to Bahia Tamarindo, described as Gringo Central, Costa Rica. The anchorage is protected by a shallow reef and is difficult to enter and exit. We did get in and out without difficulty, but didn't venture ashore to join the other gringos.
Entertainment that night was watching a schooner tourist ship tie up to their mooring next to us. As one guy finally got into the moored dinghy to attach lines to the mooring ball, the schooner drove over the dinghy, sinking it! The guy jumped out...no injuries that we could tell. They had to offload and ferry about 30 paying passengers in the one remaining dinghy, moored at site, and that took three trips.
Well Of Course we were watching with binoculars to see how the tourists were responding to their unplanned adventure.
Even though the crew worked really hard, especially unsinking the dinghy after the tourists left, their tips might not have been so good that night.
Photo is dark, so you can imagine watching these antics with us!
