Kievit and crew left Playas del Coco Monday, Feb. 10. Dave did the check out at the Port Captains Office, got some last minute groceries and bought fishing license, $25 each for 30 days. Better to have the license than worry about being boarded and have the boat impounded. That done, we sailed to Bahia Huevos, a beautiful small bay only 8-10 km north of Coco. The papagayos were blowing so we made the trip at 5 kn on just the small jib. We spent the night there at anchor with two other boats, Aztec and Fai Yin, and the crews from all three boats enjoyed dinner on Kievit. Dave spent some hours Tuesday morning diving with the Hooka system to clean heavy growth off the bottom of Kievit. The job is 2/3 done and will take another hour to finish is some other anchorage.
