Fishermen who had been hauled out on the other side for a while, were out fishing mid stream. They got called over so we could buy fish from them. Indeed, they had a cooler full of fish and sold them all to us. They were happy and so were we. By the way, of course, Dave was fishing on and off all day, but no luck, probably because we were going too fast.
I asked Amadeo if he could take us up stream, as the Rio Lempa is the major river in the country, I thought it might be interesting. No, very politely, as it could be dangerous. Isabel talked with him and translated to me that there could be pirates (really criminals) and he felt responsible for his guests when he was Captain. I mention this because, we have learned to trust our friends, all over the world to keep us Californians out of trouble, when we travel.
