What a ride!

Yesterday we left the mooring and headed out into Greenwich Bay where we rolled out the jib in light air. We were in no hurry so we moved along nicely at 3 1/2 kn. One we came through Warwick Light we headed into the wind and raised the main. (A tribute here to the inventor of the electric halyard winch!!!) When we came back around to head downwind....yahoo! The acceleration is quick and fast. You actually hear it in the two hulls aft a step before you feel it in the sail.
What a ride!
Bob is very happy with the way Masquerade handles under sail as well as motoring. The hydraulic steering takes a little getting used to but we are learning and enjoying the experience.
I've been doing most of the sailing while Bob tweaks this and that and generally makes sure all the instruments are OK.
We do need two to tack...but that's a story for another day.
Currently have the generator running to recharge all the toys. Solar panel has no problem keeping up with refrig/freezer requirements.
Oh, happy day!
That is it from Potter.
