New Position - Making Way Up The Chesapeake
Hi Everyone,
Local Time - 20:00. Very poor mobile/internet communication so sending this position report by Sailblogs Remote via email.
We left Langley View after spending 2 days there absolutely astounded by the military jets taking off and landing at the Langley airforce base. I spent hours on the foredeck in total disbelief. There were all sorts of jets going through their paces - army, airforce and navy all represented.
So I decided it was time to move on towards Annapolis and the final berthing place for the boat - Georgetown Yacht Basin. I am spending the night in a very quiet creek with wooded shores and a few very large holiday homes. The creeks here go on for miles and it would be great fun to explore them in the tender. The other fascinating thing is that every navigation marker has an eagles nest atop with eagles on the nest sitting eggs. I am only 1/8th the way into the Chesapeake - it is enormous and I still have days of travel to go.
Will probably move on tomorrow as the internet reception here is lousy - no voice communications and it takes forever to send/receive emails.
Love to everyone - Kevin xxx
