Big Change of Plans

Well, last year we were getting closer and closer to move to Anaue, the boat we were building and preparing since year 2000, but at some point we started thinking that, in order to provide a better condition for Helena's education, a bigger sailboat with a different internal layout and more space would suit better. Other factors related to safety like a higher freeboard and a less exposed cockpit, complemented the arguments needed to make the decision to move to another sailboat. So we did. Anaue, our well constructed, equipped and pratically new boat was easily sold to a friend of ours and we are now moving to Matilda, a HR42E, which is now moored in Tortola, BVI, after an extensive round-the-world cruising.
In the next March, 28th, we will be leaving Brazil to start what we've being planning so long!!!
Some repairs to be done, small cruises to get used to the boat and to our new way of life too, debugging things, preparing her for the next (not defined yet) legs, enjoying BVI and surroundings and, when closer to the Hurricane season, we will probably make a move...
To infinity and beyond...
