Over the past 24 hours the doldrums have faded into a distant memory. The winds have steadily increased to 18-21 knots and holding. Clouds have moved in with the intermittent squal. It is a rough ride, bashing into the swells as they hit our starboard side. The wind is still our of the NE (bummer) and we hope the wind will find a rare origin and let us sail directly to Honolulu. It is hot in the pilot house but that is where the shade is. Out in the cockpit there is more wind but there isn't any shade. Would be nice to have a biminy over the cockpit! We're hanging in there! We need to do laundry and make water. The best way to keep cool is run around in our underwear and topless. We just don't care about modesty any more at this point!
