Crossing to Fiji

We had good winds, 15 to 20kts, the first day and night. We had the main and the assymetrical sails up and sailed in a smooth sea lighted by billions of stars. The skies were truly in heaven. Lost the wind on the second day. We have been motoring since then. It is going slowly but nice. A little bird, in its way north like us, lost her partner and took refuge in Mauliola. She flew in and spent the night in the salon. In the morning she woke up refreshed but still didn't want to leave. Jerry had the idea to feed her, which brought the consequences of a gut that now needed to release some of its content, and she ate happily. She flew around to the sink to get water, which made us believe that she had done this before, and explored around without any fear or us. Later on the morning she said goodbye to us with a few chirps and flew away. She looked like a yellow breasted canary. In the afternoon we caught 2 mahimahis at the same time, one in each of our lines. We thanked the fish and the akuas for the gift and brought both in. Dinner was poisson cru and rice. A fabulous meal. I tried to post yesterday but I couldn't get a signal in the SSB radio. Will try again. We are all well. Aloha.
