C. Farias/overcast all day

The little town of Savusavu is jammed with people. The US ship Mercy, a Hostpital ship is here, anchored just a few hundred yards from us. They came to provide health assistance to the community. They do surgeries, health clinic, and any other health help needed. It is a greatly aid and much appreciated. Yesterday we came back to town to get fresh foods and found the town in a party atmosphere. Today, at the Farmer's Market, the US Navy Band was playing music almost the entire morning. The local people at first very shy, joinied in and half way thru the performance they were clapping, dancing and enjoying the music. We are anchored at the entrance of the Bay and all day long the Mercy tenders pass by us, back and forth taking the sailors to shore and bringing them back.
We are wating for a few things to come on the mail for us, which should be on Monday or Tuesday, and then, weather permiting and with the akuas blessing, we should be moving towards the East side of Vanua Levu. I added a few photos on the blog today, in the Gallery. There is an album named Fiji islands. Mahalo to you all for the comments and for the Birthday wishes. We are going out tonight for a nice diiner and ice cream. Aloha dear friends
