Cumberland Bay is like going back in time 200 years. Unspoiled and absolutely awesome.

Well the adventure began actually on April Fool's Day, 2013. We purchased s/v LaNostra from Captain Harry, who helped Ron sail her down from St. Maarten to present Tyrell Bay, Carricao. Tyrell Bay is ideal for hurricane hole due to wonderful mangroves here. The mangroves have held up to 140 boats during storms when necessary. Two days after I arrived in July, 2013 we "tied up" to those trees due to pending Hurricane Chantal (category 2) and we were bit up by mosquitos. No winds, no storm...good exercise is emergency preparedness tho. Since that time we have sailed around the area to include: Sandy Island, Petit Martinique, Petit St. Vincent, Union Island, and Grenada. Now we just idle our time by snorkeling, running around the island, hiking and of course drinking rum.
We had our first visitor, Alacia, who stayed with us for a week. Being hurricane season, it rained a lot, little winds, and very hot. Oh, well. We enjoyed having her with us.
Enjoyed Grenada for a week by visiting rum distillery, hiking rain forest and St Margaret's Fall, and viewing Fort George, and shopping of course.
We plan to sail to Tobago Keys to snorkle with turtles.
We conitinue to miss our family and friends, but encourage all to come and visit!!
