We loaded the car and headed for Oriental. The suspence is killing me, I haven't met Maxine yet! We arrived in late afternoon and stopped at The Silos for burgers after our long ride over from Georgia. After unpacking the car, I finally got to explore Maxine. She is beautiful, all I had imagined, and she is OURS!!!! We have so much stuff and no idea where to fit it all. We need to get organized. We had a new down comforter that Santa had brought us, and boy did it keep us cozy. It was down to 30 degrees during the night.

January 23, 2009
We woke to bright sunshine, but cool temps. We walked around and checked out the marina while taking lots of pictures. Not many people around. Went into downtown Oriental and walked around there while taking more pictures and stopping for coffee at The Bean. I think we will be very happy here!

January 24, 2009
We are having the cushions and curtains redone and spent the morning meeting with the seamstress going over fabric samples and setting the time frame. For dinner we went to M&M's with friends of ours, Lane & Judy. We had a good meal with great company.

January 25, 2009
We got up early and packed up to head for home. It was a fun weekend but went by too quickly. We'll be back soon!
